Jackie Williams
Jackie was one of the first to enthusiastically climb on board in the summer of 1999 when the idea of hosting a "Gathering of the Green" conference was proposed to the four sponsoring clubs. She was an irreplaceable source for great ideas and contacts. We miss her boundless energy, her tenacious focus on completing projects, her delightful sense of humor, and her genuine caring for her family, friends, and for the "Gathering of the Green" One simple knew that any job, regardless of its difficulty and challenge,  undertaken by Jackie would result in a job well done.
A memorial exhibit has been created for the 2008 Conference attendees to remember Jackie Williams and the extensive work that she voluntarily gave to previous "Gathering of the Green" Conferences. On special display is her tractor she bought at an auction and was so proud to take home and show her husband Mike. She thought she bought a "Spoker D" but when they looked up the serial number it turned out to be a "Nickel Hole Flywheel D".
Jackie helped create a very similar exhibit to this one at the Lawn and Garden Show" in Rock Island, IL several years ago. She was so proud of that exhibit. It has been recreated here in her memory.
Our care, concerns, and blessings go out to the husband Mike Williams and their families.
