"Gathering of the Green"
And the Winner is!

  The Disappointment set in for some as they learned on Thursday morning that the "Gator" Tickets were sold out. With all ticket stubs turned in and a few hours to go, there is a frenzied hurry to purchase chances at the remaining raffle items and any other bargain one might find in the vendor area.
While Ron prepares to teach his class, I watch our grand-child warm the hearts of others with her contagious smile. I, like many of us, will look back at the 2008 Gathering of the Green and remember it as a great success.
  The volunteers work seamlessly, like the interlocking, moving parts of a 2 cylinder engine. The guests will take away some knowledge, a few stories, fond memories and new friends once again. This gathering was truly world-class and a project all four clubs can be truly proud of.
  I will pause here, in anticipation of tonight's events and the drawing for the Gator. I will include the prize winner's names and photos later. Have a great Saturday.
